After a long silence of two years since its announcement at the 2022 TGA Game Awards, the latest news about “Transformers: Reboot” finally emerged.
Developer Splash Damage announced today that the project would be cancelled and stated that they would scale down to focus on other projects. Unfortunately, some positions at the studio are at risk of being cut.

Transformers: Reboot was initially positioned as a “1-4 player online action game,” with the only follow-up news being the announcement in December 2023 that the game would switch to Unreal Engine 5 for development.

After this decision was announced, most players on X were complaining, with some saying, “more like ‘Transformers: Reboot Failed'”, “after nearly a decade of waiting, we finally got this result”, “(our) hanging hearts are finally dead”, and even many fans vented their anger at Hasbro, the owner of the IP.
