Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage Announced for PC and Mobile

Fabled Game has announced that Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage, the sequel to their popular card-based adventure game, is coming to PC and mobile platforms in Q3 2025.

A demo of the game is currently available on Steam.

The original Pirates Outlaws achieved over 3 million downloads across all platforms and has received positive user feedback, including a 4.6-star rating on Android from over 30,000 reviews.

The game was noted for its replayability and frequent content updates.

Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage introduces a new experience for players, with several playable characters, unlockable classes, and animal companions that join the crew.

These additions create a wider range of strategic possibilities. The game also features upgradeable cards and a visual overhaul with a papercraft art style.

Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage is a roguelike deckbuilder where players collect and combine cards, gather relics, and adapt their strategy during each playthrough.

The game involves becoming a reputed pirate, looting Sea Masters, battling creatures, and competing in an arena.

The sequel is set in New Elysia, where players begin their expedition from a mansion. Players select a character, class, ability, and starting deck.

The game features an alchemy shop where elixirs can alter a hero’s abilities, starting deck, and appearance.

Players can also recruit animal companions, whose cards are added to the player’s starting deck. New characters and companions can be recruited throughout the game.

Key game features:

  • Combine Heroes, Classes, and Companions: Each hero has unique cards and abilities that can be combined with companion cards.
  • Customize Your Deck: Players can improve their decks and develop strategies.
  • Enhanced Turn-Based Combat: A “countdown” mechanic is in place, where each card played affects the enemy’s actions.
  • Map Exploration: Players can navigate between battles, revisit islands, stop at taverns, and trade at markets.
  • Card Evolution: Collecting three identical cards allows players to level them up and choose how they evolve.
  • Relic Bonuses: Relics provide bonuses when players complete an outfit.

Fabled Game is a smaller game development studio that focuses on mobile and PC titles. Their previous success with Pirates Outlaws demonstrates their ability to create engaging card-based games.

The addition of characters, classes, and companions seems like it will add a lot of depth to the gameplay.

What character and companion combinations are you most interested in trying? How do you think the card evolution system will affect your deck-building strategy?
