HoYoverse announced that Version 2.5 of their popular space fantasy RPG, Honkai: Star Rail, titled “Flying Aureus Shot to Lupine Rue,” will launch on September 10th.
This update promises to deliver new content, including the Wardance ceremony, powerful new enemies, and three new playable characters.
New Story Content and Events
The update continues the ongoing story on the Xianzhou Luofu, where the Cloud Knights are responding to a prison break in The Shackling Prison.
General Feixiao leads the charge to capture the escaped criminals, while General Jing Yuan investigates the incident. As secrets within the prison come to light, the game’s silkpunk saga hurtles towards its climax.
The Luminary Wardance, a significant event in Version 2.5, will bring familiar faces like Luka to the Xianzhou Luofu for the first time.
Players can participate in Wardance activities to earn rewards, including the adorable pet “Tuskpir.”
New Playable Characters
Three new characters will join the roster in Version 2.5:
- Feixiao: A 5-star character and the General of the Xianzhou Yaoqing, Feixiao is a master martial artist who wields both gun blades and a battle-axe. Her unique abilities allow her to accumulate “Flying Aureus” with each attack, which she can then unleash in a devastating Ultimate attack.
- Lingsha: A 5-star character and the new Cauldron Master from the Alchemy Commission, Lingsha uses her keen sense of smell to diagnose illnesses and create incense to soothe others. In battle, she summons Fuyuan, an incense beast that assists in combat and provides healing and support to allies.
- Moze: A 4-star character and the Shadow Guard of the Yaoqing, Moze is a silent and elusive assassin who excels at taking down single targets. His unique abilities allow him to mark an enemy as his “Prey” and deal additional damage after allies attack them.
Warp Events and Reruns
Version 2.5 will also feature special Warp Events, giving players the chance to recruit limited 5-star characters.
The first half of the update will see the return of Robin, Black Swan, and Kafka, while the second half will feature a rerun of Topaz.
Honkai: Star Rail is available on PC, iOS, Android, Epic Games Store, and PS5.
