Genshin Impact Version 5.4 Brings Back the Mikawa Flower Festival

Genshin Impact’s upcoming Version 5.4 update, “Moonlight Amidst Dreams,” arrives on February 12, bringing players back to Inazuma’s Mikawa Flower Festival for another round of festivities, challenges, and new story developments.

HoYoverse has confirmed that the event will feature Raiden Shogun investigating a mysterious nightmare alongside an array of engaging mini-games and rewards.

The update will introduce a new 5-star character, Yumemizuki Mizuki, an Anemo Catalyst user with a unique healing and combat mechanic.

The Mikawa Flower Festival Returns

A beloved celebration in Inazuma, the Mikawa Flower Festival highlights the deep connections between humans and youkai, offering players a blend of cultural storytelling, mini-games, and exclusive rewards. Players can participate in various festival challenges, including:

  • “A Little Fox’s Daydream” – Guide a fox through dream-like landscapes while collecting Fried Tofu.
  • “Bunshin Phantasm” – Use the movements of a Muji-Muji Daruma to unlock a bridge to the goal.
  • “Akitsu Harpastum” – A returning event that mixes bullet-dodging mechanics with a vitality challenge.

Completing festival activities will earn players Festival Stamps, which can be exchanged for rewards, including the new 4-star polearm, “Tamayuratei no Ohanashi.”

Meet Yumemizuki Mizuki, the Dreamweaver

Version 5.4 introduces Yumemizuki Mizuki, a clinical psychologist and major shareholder of the Aisa Bathhouse, now making her debut as a 5-star Anemo Catalyst user.

Mizuki’s kit revolves around support and battlefield control, offering a dynamic combination of healing and elemental synergy:

  • Elemental Skill: Dreamdrifter – Enters a unique combat state, dealing AoE Anemo DMG and boosting Swirl DMG when teammates trigger elemental reactions.
  • Elemental Burst: Mini Baku – Summons a creature that creates Yumemi Style Special Snacks. These snacks either heal party members below 70% HP or explode to deal AoE Anemo DMG if their HP is above the threshold.
  • Passive Effect – Mizuki enhances healing items, with a chance to restore an additional 30% HP to all characters.

Mizuki will be featured in the first half of Version 5.4’s Event Banners alongside Sigewinne’s rerun, followed by Furina and Wriothesley’s reruns in the latter half. She will also be added to the Standard Wish banner after the Version 5.5 update.

Additional Events and Optimizations

Beyond the festival and new character release, Version 5.4 brings a series of new events and quality-of-life updates:

  • “Travelers’ Tales: Anthology Chapter” – A narrative event exploring slice-of-life moments with fan-favorite characters.
  • New mini-games, including Reel Ad-Venture (a film-editing challenge), Invasive Fish Wrangler (a fishing event with Co-Op and competitive modes), and Realm of Tempered Valor (a combat-focused challenge).
  • System optimizations, including a Level-Up Plan feature in the Training Guide, streamlined Character and Weapon filters, and an Auto Add button for Weapon Refinement to enhance efficiency.

A Grand Return to Inazuma

With its blend of festivities, cooperative challenges, and a compelling new character, Genshin Impact Version 5.4 is shaping up to be another content-rich update.

Whether diving into the Mikawa Flower Festival, testing out Mizuki’s Dreamdrifter abilities, or enjoying the various new gameplay additions, Travelers have plenty to look forward to on February 12.
