NVIDIA officially released DLSS 4 technology today, with Jensen Huang stating that the RTX 5090 could deliver up to twice the performance of the RTX 4090.
It is claimed that DLSS 4 supports over 75 games and applications on its launch day. “Black Myth: Wukong” will receive an update later this year to support DLSS multi-frame generation.
This evening, NVIDIA officially released a demo video of “Black Myth: Wukong” with DLSS 4 enabled, achieving over 260 FPS with full ray tracing.
As previously reported by IT Home, DLSS 4 introduces multi-frame generation technology, using AI to generate three frames for each rendered frame.
When combined with the DLSS technology suite, it can achieve up to 8 times the performance of traditional rendering while maintaining quick responsiveness through NVIDIA Reflex technology.
NVIDIA stated that DLSS 4 also introduces the graphics industry’s first real-time application of Transformer model architecture.
The Transformer-based DLSS ray reconstruction and super-resolution models bring twice the parameters and four times the computational power, providing higher stability, less ghosting, more detail, and stronger anti-aliasing in-game scenes.
NVIDIA’s official website indicates that the RTX 50 series graphics cards will exclusively feature DLSS 4 multi-frame generation functionality, meaning that to achieve the latest powerful graphics quality, users will need to invest in the new cards.
